Merry Wyfe
An award-winning washed-rind cheese made with our Wyfe of Bath curds which are pressed and then washed in cider every other day for four weeks (hence the name ‘Merry’ Wyfe!). The cider is made here by Graham Padfield from apples harvested on the farm. This cheese has a distinctive pungent orange (edible) rind and a rich, creamy texture typical of our cheeses; a beautiful addition to our range. Launched in May 2017, the “Merry Wyfe” has already won gold at three cheese awards:
The World Cheese Awards, the Artisan Cheese Awards at Melton Mowbray and the Global Cheese Awards at Frome.
The Mini Round is between 250-400 grammes. It is a pasteurised and vegetarian cheese.

Since this was a gift for my brother and his wife I’m not able to comment
We previously boughty this "in person" and it was amazing. However, the one sent through the post is awful, because sitting in the plastic packaging has resulted in the outside being really soggy with a nasty wet texture and smell.
This cheese had a lovely texture and flavour. Was delicious with some of their Bath Squares Heritage Crackers.
We loved our choices of cheese. Wyfe of Bath has always been a favourite but this time we tried the soft cheese with truffle and the Merry Wife. Great flavours too! The company is friendly, helpful and well run. The service excellent and to top it all it came very beautifully packaged.
Merry Wyfe gives a unique full flavoured cheese. Great for a special occasion.
