The Annual (if delayed) Staff BBQ at Park Farm

We have an amazing team at Bath Soft Cheese and thankfully we had an opportunity to celebrate that last Thursday.

The storms held off, the sun shone, and pandemic restriction eased enough for a socially distanced outdoor gathering.

2020 will be remembered as the year of dramatic changes brought about by Covid-19. In March we really feared for the future of our business but everyone adapted and together we came through the crisis bigger and stronger. We’re making more cheese than ever, the cafe is busy, and the farm has kept going, as well as hosted a lot of staycation picnickers and walkers! It is thanks to the loyalty and dedication of our staff (as well as customers) that we made it through.

We like to have a summer staff BBQ each year, normally in June. We feared it wouldn’t be possible this year but, in fact, that made it all the more special when we could finally hold it. Local butchers, Bartletts, provided the meat; the cafe made salads and an enormous cheesecake; there was a large spread of our cheeses (of course) and the cheesemakers even made some halloumi… it was so good it may have to become a new line.

Like everyone else we just hope that we’re celebrating getting through the worst of it… After all, we’ve got a Christmas party to plan for!
